With the help of Statement and in just four months, Slendertone replatformed their seven global stores from Magento 2 to Shopify Plus, showcasing their innovative products to an international audience.

The Challenge.

Slendertone’s website has always been a significant part of their business strategy, but recognising the opportunity to sell direct to consumers, it became even more important. Suffering from a lack of speed, agility and high costs, Slendertone were held back by their Magento 2 store.

To support their growth and reach new audiences worldwide, they required an agile platform, empowering their in-house team to do more and depend less on third parties. Shopify Plus was the solution of choice, allowing the brand to take control, be responsive, scalable and dynamic.

The project also focused on elevating user experience and manifesting trust with potential customers. As Slendertone’s products are backed by medical research, this scientific information needed communicating in an accessible, inspiring way to inform and engage the user.

The Solution.

Rapid innovation.

Undertaking extensive discovery work, we assessed Slendertone’s design, technical and replatforming requirements. A full replatform from Magento 2 was delivered, alongside data and content migration and a site redesign. The user interface was designed mobile first, incorporating Apple Pay and Google Pay to create a frictionless checkout experience.

A flexible eCommerce environment puts their in-house team back in control. Use of a modular theme enables proactive development and editing, while rich media content, including video and lifestyle imagery, brings the brand to life. Using diagrams and infographics, the science behind the products has become accessible and engaging. Microsoft Dynamics ERP was also integrated to ensure seamless operational management.   

Real people, real insight.

To instill trust and inspire visitors, user generated content (UGC) was placed front and centre. Incorporating third-party review system, Yotpo, Slendertone can share authentic stories from real-life customers. The brand is equipped to build personal connections with their audience, inspiring them to achieve their fitness goals.

Seven stores and counting.

Unlocking global sales potential and providing a foundation for growth, we launched seven regional sites. The launch coincided with their global marketing campaign, placing Slendertone in front of a new audience. Their stores support multi-language, multi-currency options and integrate with Zendesk, a live chat solution that allows Slendertone to communicate with consumers.
