Roots firmly in retail
Originally starting as an online retailer in 1999, we hired multiple agencies to help us progress. We got it wrong (very wrong) a few times and it cost us money, time and lost opportunity. We felt the only answer was to solve the problem ourselves. So, in 2010, we built our own team and our own commerce platform.
And it worked. We grew faster, we went global and we transformed our efficiency, but the investment was huge, and it took a long time to develop. As the years passed, we realised we were not alone, many other retailers were suffering from the same issue. We saw an opportunity to do things differently – to bring that commercial background into the agency world.
In-house retail specialists
Taking our in-house team, we launched Statement: the eCommerce agency founded by an eCommerce business. A really simple concept, but one that makes a real difference.
Since 2014, we’ve only built websites in Shopify. Evolving alongside connected retail, we deliver websites backed by retail experience. Ex-retailers make up our people and we continue to build a team who are underpinned by industry expertise.
You’d expect us to know Shopify Plus inside and out, but our background means we also understand what it’s like to be a retailer. We know the challenges you have acquiring customers, fulfilling orders and growing repeat custom. But helping brands overcome these issues is what drives us.
