The Wakefield Retail Awards, sponsored by The Ridings Shopping Centre, Wakefield City Centre Partnership and Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, aim to highlight and recognise individual businesses that are making a huge difference in the district, helping to make Wakefield a vibrant and attractive place that people want to visit.
We were delighted to be a part of the event for a second year running, this time sponsoring the Online Retailer of the Year award. The night was a glitzy event, hosted by BBC Look North’s Claire Frisby, at The Space.
The winners were shortlisted and chosen by a panel of judges, including Wakefield Express Editor Mark Bradley and Executive Director of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, Andrew Choi.
Lots to celebrate for Statement's clients
Although we knew lots of people at the ceremony, we were particularly excited to see a number of our own clients become worthy nominees, and indeed winners, at the event. For some of these clients, we have been with them since the very beginning of their journey, working together to develop their brand and marketing strategy; for others, we’ve provided support services such as design and print and watched their businesses grow; and for some eCommerce clients, we are just setting out on exciting new projects.
Whatever the level of web, digital or marketing services we have provided, we are proud to call lots of Wakefield retailers not just ongoing partners, but friends, and we were more than just a little bit giddy to share in their moment…
